It's seldom intentional, but it happens all the time. I see a color, or more accurately "I feel a color" and it makes its way from somewhere in my soul into the work in my studio.

That's what happened with this piece.

When the sun shines at its brightest here in Southern California, the Pacific Ocean treats us to glimpses of summertime turquoise blue. I've read that the color turquoise is widely associated with peace, serenity and healing. It also represents clarity, good luck and emotional balance. I absolutely get that - it makes me feel calm, free and full of possibility. I hope you sense that from this piece too!
